Fifteen years ago, I took a leap of faith and launched my own legal recruitment business.

Back then, it was a pivotal decision, but looking back, it stands as one of the most rewarding choices I’ve ever made. I started my career over 20 years ago as a recruiter in the legal profession having qualified and practised as a Solicitor for 3 years. While I was relatively new to recruitment, I quickly developed a deep passion for the role.

One of the things I love most about recruitment is that it’s a people business. It’s all about building relationships and understanding people’s needs. When I excel in my role, I’m not just helping people find jobs, I’m contributing to positive life transformations, and that is immensely fulfilling.

During the last 15 years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazing individuals; helping them discover their ideal career paths as well as supporting many law firms across Yorkshire and the North East to build highly successful teams.

Undoubtedly, the journey has presented its fair share of hurdles. Legal recruitment is a highly competitive field, and there have been moments of real challenge. The recruitment industry is constantly changing, requiring us to adapt to new emerging trends and technologies.  We’ve also had to navigate unexpected obstacles, including economic downturns or global pandemics like Covid, which have tested our resilience

I’ve helped hundreds of people find their ideal roles in the legal profession. It’s very rewarding to see my candidates succeed and reach their full potential.

Building highly successful teams for law firms

I’ve assisted law firms in building great teams of lawyers and paralegals and achieving their goals. I take great pride in the part I’ve played in their success.

Embracing honesty and integrity

I believe in forthrightness with both clients and candidates regarding their expectations and always acting in their best interests.

The Future

I’m also excited about the future of Bailey Hunter. The legal profession and recruitment market are constantly changing, and I’m always looking for new ways to improve our services and better meet the needs of our clients and candidates.
