Conveyancing Assistant with at least 12 months' experience required in Harrogate
A friendly and well-regarded law firm in Harrogate is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join its’ busy Residential Property team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive firm with a strong local reputation.
The Role
Working closely with experienced Conveyancers, you’ll assist with residential property transactions from instruction through to completion. Duties will include:
- Supporting fee earners with sales, purchases, remortgages and other residential property matters
- Opening files and carrying out initial compliance and AML checks
- Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
- Ordering searches and dealing with Land Registry matters
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors
- Assisting with exchange, completion and post-completion work
- Keeping clients updated and ensuring files progress efficiently
- General administrative support to the Conveyancing team
About You
Ideally, you’ll have:
- At least 12 months’ experience working in a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or similar residential property role
- A good understanding of the conveyancing process
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident and professional communication skills
- A friendly, proactive and client-focused approach
- The ability to manage a busy workload and work well as part of a team
