Our client, a progressive and growing law firm with an excellent reputation, is looking to recruit a Commercial & Civil Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its expanding Dispute Resolution team in Barnsley.
This is a great opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to develop their career within a supportive team, working closely with an experienced Partner and gaining exposure to a broad range of high-quality commercial and civil disputes.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload, with appropriate supervision, as well as assisting senior colleagues with more complex matters.
The caseload will be largely commercial litigation and may include:
- Contractual disputes
- Director, shareholder and partnership disputes
- Debt recovery
- Professional negligence claims
- Business torts
- Construction disputes
- Contentious property matters
You will also have the opportunity to gain experience of litigation, mediation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution, as well as developing your advocacy skills.
You’ll be encouraged to build strong client relationships and get involved in networking and business development as your experience grows.
About You
Ideally, you will be:
- A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, NQ – 2 years’ PQE
- Experienced in, or with good exposure to, commercial/civil litigation
- Confident managing matters with appropriate supervision
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and negotiation skills
- An excellent communicator with good client care skills
- Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to develop your career within dispute resolution
