Private Client Solicitor – Newcastle

Our client, a highly regarded North East law firm, is looking to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its established team in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the region’s largest and most successful Private Client departments. You will work alongside experienced Partners and senior lawyers within a supportive and well-resourced team, advising individuals and families on a broad range of matters.
The Role
Joining a substantial team, you will manage your own varied caseload, which will include:
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Probate and estate administration
- Trust creation and administration
- Inheritance Tax and succession planning
- Advising high-net-worth individuals and families
- Lifetime gifting and asset protection
- Court of Protection matters, depending on experience
You will have the opportunity to handle high-quality and often complex work, build strong relationships with clients and professional contacts, and contribute to the continued development of the department.
The Candidate
You will ideally:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE in Private Client work
- Have experience managing your own caseload independently
- Possess strong technical knowledge across Wills, Probate, Trusts and Tax
- Be confident dealing with clients sensitively and professionally
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be interested in networking, business development and building long-term client relationships
STEP membership or progress towards the qualification would be welcomed but is not essential.
