Family Solicitor with 2PQE+ can be based in one of six locations
Our client, an established and growing law firm, is looking to recruit an experienced Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive. The successful candidate can be based in Newcastle, York, Selby, Sherburn, Hull or Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive family law team handling a varied caseload and providing sensitive, practical advice to clients during difficult periods in their lives.
The Role
You will manage your own family law caseload, which may include:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- Cohabitation disputes
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
- Domestic abuse and protective injunctions
- Other related family law matters
You will provide clear and pragmatic advice, maintain excellent client relationships and progress cases efficiently from initial instruction through to conclusion.
The role will also involve developing professional contacts, participating in networking and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
The Candidate
You should have:
- A minimum of two years’ PQE in family law
- Experience managing your own caseload
- Strong technical knowledge and sound judgement
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- A sensitive and empathetic approach
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- An interest in networking and business development
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
