Wills/Probate Paralegal with minimum 12 months' experience required in Darlington
Our client, an established and well-regarded law firm based in Darlington, is looking to recruit a Wills & Probate Paralegal to join its busy Private Client team.
This is a great opportunity for a Paralegal with experience in Wills, Probate and general Private Client work to develop their career within a supportive and reputable firm.
The Role
You will assist fee earners within the Wills, Probate and Private Client department, supporting on a varied caseload which may include:
- Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Assisting with probate and estate administration matters
- Preparing and submitting probate applications
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries and third parties
- Taking initial instructions and providing excellent client care
- Preparing correspondence and legal documents
- Opening, maintaining and closing files
- Carrying out general administrative support for the department
- Ensuring all work is handled in line with compliance and quality standards
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- At least 12 months experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within Wills, Probate or Private Client
- Good knowledge of private client procedures
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A professional, empathetic and practical approach
This role would suit someone who enjoys client contact, has a genuine interest in Private Client work and is looking to build a long-term career in this area.
