Wills & Probate Solicitor – York (Central)
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience running your own caseload
Level: Any PQE level considered (Solicitor / Legal Executive / equivalent)

A well-regarded York law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor to join its established Private Client team in a central York location. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys quality private client work, values a friendly environment, and wants a role where they can get on with the job with the right level of support.
The role
You’ll manage your own caseload of wills and probate matters, including:
- Drafting Wills and providing estate planning advice
- Probate applications and full estate administration
- LPAs (desirable)
- Advising executors, beneficiaries and families with sensitivity and clarity
- Managing files efficiently from instruction to completion
What they’re looking for
- At least 3 years’ experience handling a wills and probate caseload independently (any PQE level considered)
- Solid technical grounding in private client work
- Strong client care and a calm, professional manner
- A team player who takes pride in delivering a good service
- Any PQE level considered – the key is capability and the right attitude
