A respected Yorkshire law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor (7+ PQE) to join their established Wills & Probate team based in York or Malton. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior solicitor who thrives on complex probate work and is keen to play a key role in a close-knit, forward-thinking team.
The Role:
You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters with a focus on high-value and complex probate work. You’ll provide expert legal advice tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, maintaining the highest standards of service, compliance, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling complex probate and estate administration matters
- Advising on wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, LPAs and Court of Protection work
- Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships
- Working within compliance frameworks and utilising case management systems
- Actively contributing to marketing and business development efforts
- Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting team growth
- Keeping up to date with relevant training and legal developments
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified solicitor with 7+ years’ PQE in Private Client law
- Strong technical expertise in probate and estate planning
- Proven ability to manage complex files independently
- Commercial awareness and confidence in developing business
- A client-focused, professional and personable approach
