Private Client Solicitor 1-2PQE required in Harrogate
Our client, an established and friendly law firm based in Harrogate, is looking to recruit a Private Client Solicitor to join its experienced and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior Private Client Solicitor to join a thriving and expanding practice with a strong client base and a down-to-earth, approachable culture.

The Role
You will run your own caseload of Private Client matters independently, with supervision and support from an experienced team.
The work will include:
- Wills
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Trusts
- Probate and estate administration
- Court of Protection applications
- Liaising with clients and taking instructions
- Drafting legal documents
- Dealing with third parties including the Land Registry, HMCTS and HMRC
- Preparing estate accounts
- Managing client expectations
- Updating case management systems and databases
The department is busy and varied, offering the opportunity to develop your technical skills while working closely with clients.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 1–2 years’ PQE in Private Client work
- Strong client care skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Good IT skills, ideally including experience of case management systems
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- The ability to work well as part of a team, while also using your own initiative
- A full clean driving licence would be advantageous
- Ideally, you will live within a reasonable commute of Harrogate
