Commercial Property Solicitor 7PQE+ required in Leeds
Our client, an established and friendly law firm based in Leeds, is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Commercial Property Solicitor to take on a varied caseload, work closely with senior management and play an important role in developing the firm’s Commercial Property offering.
The firm has a down-to-earth, approachable culture, a strong client base and further growth plans. This role would suit someone who enjoys client contact, wants autonomy and is keen to help build relationships with local businesses and professional contacts.
The Role
You will handle a full and varied caseload of Commercial Property and related business matters from start to finish.
Matters may include:
- Sales and purchases of commercial property
- Buying and selling businesses
- Commercial leases
- Lease renewals
- Subleases and surrenders
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Setting up businesses
- General commercial property advice
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other professional advisers
You will work closely with the Managing Director and will have the support of a Paralegal/Trainee to assist with the caseload and administrative tasks, supported by the firm’s case management system.
There will also be scope to help develop the department and maintain strong working relationships with businesses and referrers.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A minimum of 7–8 years’ experience in Commercial Property work
- Confidence running a full and varied caseload independently
- Strong client care and communication skills
- The ability to manage deadlines and work well under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Good IT skills
- Experience using a case management system, such as Proclaim, Quill or similar, would be desirable
- Excellent attention to detail
- A clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection
- The ability to work well as part of a team, while also using your own initiative
- A willingness to support, train and develop junior members of staff
- Ideally, you will live within a reasonable commute of Leeds
