Professional Support Lawyer (3PQE) within PI/Clin Neg required for flexible Yorkshire location

We’re representing a leading Yorkshire Law Firm who are seeking a dynamic and strategic Professional Support Lawyer to join their Clinical Negligence/PI Strategy & Professional Support Team.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the legal expertise across their Claimant departments, including Clinical Negligence, Child Abuse, Brain & Serious Injury, and Personal Injury.

You’ll be at the forefront of ensuring their teams are equipped with the most up-to-date knowledge and resources, directly impacting the quality of service they provide to their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge Management: Proactively review, update, and maintain their comprehensive knowledge library, including precedents, templates, and legal documentation.
  • Legal Updates: Ensure the Clinical Negligence department is consistently informed about changes to court forms, fees, relevant guides, and case law.
  • Precedent Development: Develop and draft high-quality precedents and legal documentation that reflect current law and best practice.
  • Advisory Support: Provide expert ad-hoc advice and support to various Claimant departments, including Child Abuse, Brain & Serious Injury, and Personal Injury.
  • Intranet Management: Contribute to and maintain resources, ensuring accessibility and usability.
  • Project & Strategy Support: Assist with project work and contribute to the delivery of departmental strategy and risk management priorities.

About You:

They are looking for:

  • Ideally a qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in PI/Clinical Negligence.
  • Strong Legal Acumen: A solid understanding of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury litigation.
  • Civil Litigation Expertise: Expert knowledge of civil litigation practice, Civil Procedure Rules, and relevant case law.
  • Drafting Proficiency: Proven experience in drafting precedents and legal documentation.
  • Excellent Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Organisational Excellence: Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Proactive & Collaborative: A proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach.
