Our client is one of the biggest and most progressive law firms in the North of England and they are looking for an additional Employment Solicitor to join their Employment & HR team, to be based in either the Carlisle or the Newcastle office. This is an exciting new opportunity to join their growing team of Employment and HR specialists.
The role will involve providing advice and support on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and advisory, to a commercial client base. The work will be varied and will include advising on disciplinary, capability and grievance action, restructure and redundancy, settlement agreements as well as Employment Tribunal cases.
You will also assist senior members of the team on large complex matters, as well as providing support to the Corporate and Commercial team on business transfers.
You will also be expected to fully participate in aspects of the team’s business development initiatives including seminars, workshops, on-line development and bulletins.
You will need:
- Ideally between 2-4 years PQE in employment law.
- Minimum 2 years employment law experience in the above areas essential.
- Excellent client care skills.
- Good networking/business development skills.
