Reputable commercial law firm in Newcastle require, due to expansion, an experienced Defendant PI Solicitor for their Catastrophic Insurance department. The firm are recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers as experts in defending catastrophic injury cases.

You will work with the current Head of Insurance to assist in the continued growth of the department. The department handles the full range of complex catastrophic injury cases on behalf of insurers and often range in value between £1 million and £20 million.

You will join an established team handling catastrophic injury cases and the role offers very good opportunities for long-term career progression. The applicant will reside and work in Newcastle but spend time on cases across the country, particularly London. They have sophisticated IT systems including case management and a dedicated in-house costs team.

You will need:

- To be a Defendant PI Solicitor with a minimum
of 3 years PQE.

- Good experience of defending motor claims
involving brain injury, spinal cord and

- Good academics.

- To be ambitious, commercially minded and a
team player.
